Balcony in High-Rise Apartment Building
In the TV show Perfect Renovation, a team of design and renovation experts transformed an apartment in Moscow for actress Olga Mashina. The designers' plan included incorporating the cold winter balcony into the living room, but first, it needed to be insulated.
To insulate the balcony quickly and effectively, they used a multi-purpose PIR Plita® insulation boards with fiberglass/fiberglass cladding. The thickness of PIR Plita® boards - 50 mm. In just one day, installers have mounted insulation boards on the floor, walls, and ceiling of the balcony using glue and special anchors. The total area of insulation was over 20 square meters.
The show's host, Natalia Barbie, who witnessed the renovation, praised the insulation material for its ease of use, thermal conductivity, durability, and installation process.
The multi-purpose insulation PIR Plita® boards are certified according to the European standard for polyisocyanurate foam insulation with soft cladding EN 13165 in terms of fire safety — class E in terms of fire reaction. PIR Plita® allows to save on heating and cooling costs due to its thermal conductivity of 0,020 W/mK, confirmed in the Russian Central Research and Design Institute of Industrial Buildings and Structures.
