Vegetable Storage Facility
A farm company in Moscow region needed to build a modern vegetable storage facility
For construction the investor chose PH Insulation PIR Premier sandwich panels.
The company chose PH Insulation sandwich panels with PIR Premier, which are ideal for constructing modern vegetable storage facilities and any other agricultural buildings. PIR Premier sandwich panels reduce cooling costs due to their thermal conductivity of 0.0194 W/(m*K).
For the construction of the new building, PH Insulation has manufactured 2 675 square meters of sandwich panels with a thickness of 100 mm. Part of the sandwich panels is made in non-standard dark green color RAL 6005 on the exterior, while the interior side is in signal white RAL 9003. Other sandwich panels are made in RAL 9003 on both sides.
By employing different colors for different sides of sandwich panels, design requirements were met without incurring additional costs for non-standard colors that wouldn't be visible.
The vegetable storage facility is also equipped with PH Insulation refrigeration and fireproof doors:
- six sliding refrigeration doors with reliable European hardware
- one hinged fireproof refrigeration door for cold rooms with increased requirements for fire safety. They efficiently keep heat or cold and prevent fire and combustion products from spreading outside the room, diminishing property losses in case of emergency. A double contour of thermal insulation seal and a thermal expansion tape are installed along the inner perimeter of the door leaf. When temperature gets over 150°C, the tape expands and fills the gap between the door leaf and the frame, preventing the spread of smoke and fire in neighboring rooms.
