PH Insulation has increased to 4900 mm the maximum length of the multipurpose PIR Plita® insulation boards with L-edges on all sides. The longer PIR Plita® boards are available in 40 to 150 mm thickness and with any facing: paper, foil, film, or fiberglass. The L-shaped edges on all sides of the PIR Plita® ensure a secure connection of the insulation, creating a continuous thermal insulation envelope that effectively prevents thermal bridging.
With the extended length of the PIR Pita® insulation boards, contractors can save time and budget when insulating large areas, especially flat roofs:
- shorter joints will reduce the material costs for sealing
- larger dimensions enhance installation speed, reducing the labor costs with fewer cutting and fitting operations
By minimizing the total length of joints, heat loss during operation will also be significantly reduced.
At PH Insulation, you can also order PIR Plita® boards featuring L-shaped edges on both long sides and flat ends on the short sides. These boards are manufactured in lengths of up to 12,000 mm.
PIR Plita® is made with PIR Premier Double Soft core in soft coverings of paper, foil, and other materials. PIR Plita® boards help reduce costs for heating or air conditioning when building a flat roof, renovating industrial building or for the insulation of any residential facility, from a cottage to a balcony. PIR Plita® has a European CE certificate according to the European standard for polyisocyanurate insulation with soft coverings EN 13165, Class E for fire reaction.
In November 2024, PH Insulation reduced equipment changeover time for the production of PIR Plita® boards by 40% through implementation of SMED system. Currently, the production lead time for PIR Plita® is only 14 days.
