PIR-MW Hybrid Wall and Roof Sandwich Panels
PIR-MW hybrid wall and roof sandwich panels combine two types of insulation — PIR Premier polyisocyanurate foam and mineral wool — bringing together the key advantages of both materials and helping to optimise construction costs.
PIR-MW hybrid wall sandwich panels with an overall thickness of 100 to 200 mm have a fire resistance rating of EI 60. PIR-MW hybrid roof sandwich panels with an overall thickness of 100 to 200 mm have a fire resistance rating of REI 60.
PIR-MW hybrid sandwich panels provide higher fire resistance than sandwich panels with a conventional PIR core. The combination of polyisocyanurate foam and mineral wool increases the panel’s resistance to fire and improves the overall fire safety of the structure.
PH Insulation has obtained a fire safety certificate for sandwich panels with a hybrid PIR Premier and mineral wool core.
PIR Premier density — up to 50 kg/m³
Mineral wool density — from 95 kg/m³

Coating Descriptions
Galvanized Steel. Used where sandwich panels adjoin walls and on other concealed surfaces that do not come into contact with cleaning agents.
Polyester-Coated Galvanized Steel. More than 80% of refrigerated warehouses are built using this type of polyester-coated steel. A wide range of RAL colours is available.
PVDF. Steel with a special coating suitable for agricultural buildings. Provides good corrosion resistance and high UV resistance: RUV 4, RC 4.
AISI 304. Stainless steel suitable for meat-processing, slaughtering and meat-cutting facilities, fruit cold stores and pharmaceutical facilities.
AISI 430. Stainless steel for non-food production facilities, including technical areas of food warehouses and non-food warehouses where aggressive chemical cleaning is used.
Other Coatings. PH Insulation can supply sandwich panels with other coatings to meet your project requirements.
Surface Profiling
- Smooth
- Profiled
Advantages
Fire Safety. Fire resistance up to EI 60.
Mechanical Strength and Durability. The mineral wool used in PH Insulation sandwich panels has a density of at least 95 kg/m³.
Sound Insulation. The fibrous structure and high density of mineral wool help provide effective sound insulation.
Z-Lock. Provides reliable protection against moisture ingress. Three surface profiling options are available.
Enhanced Bonding Between Metal Facings and Mineral Wool. Achieved using an advanced two-component adhesive application system.

For deliveries to other regions, transportation can be arranged within two days after the order is ready.
For international deliveries, transportation can be arranged within 3–4 days after the order is ready.
Metal Coatings
- RAL — polyester-coated galvanized steel. The standard colour is RAL 9003, with other RAL colours available on request. Suitable for general-purpose applications. RUV 2, RC 2.
- Zn — galvanized steel without a polyester coating. Suitable for general-purpose applications.
- AISI 304 — stainless steel for food-processing facilities.
- AISI 430 — stainless steel for non-food production facilities.
- PVDF — resistant to dirt, aggressive environments and UV exposure. Recommended for façades of sports, retail, industrial and agricultural buildings. Coating thickness: 25–40 μm; RUV 4, RC 3.
- PU — steel with a polyurethane coating.
- Plastisol — provides corrosion protection for the metal for up to 15 years.
- Food Safe — suitable for direct contact with food. Recommended for cutting and slaughtering areas in food-processing facilities and for high-humidity environments. Coating thickness: 110–120 μm; RUV 4, RC 5.
