Key points:

  • The new PIR system tentatively named PH-TMa3 is developed in the PH Insulation’s R&D Center
  • Fire resistance level of the new PIR system will boast 15% increase compared to standard systems, and will reach EI45 on 100 mm thick sandwich panels. The thermal conductivity ratio will reach 0.018 W/m*K
  • Laboratory tests of the new PIR system are scheduled for August 2022.

PH Insulation to localize development of a new PIR system with increased fire resistance and thermal conductivity ratio of up to 0.018 W/m*K.

The new PIR system will combine the scientific advancements of the PH Insulation R&D Center, and breakthrough technologies of its foreign partners. PH Insulation will create the new system with polyether synthesis unit H&S Anlagentechnik, the world’s most advanced reactor. PH Insulation operates the polyether synthesis unit at its production area since 2020.

Five years ago we have invested some 5.5 million euros in our development. It has led to creation of our first PIR system, PIR Premier, developed by the scientists in our R&D Center. Today PIR Premier has become the top-used PIR sandwich panels’ core in our country, insulated panels and PIR boards with PIR Premier are exported to 27 countries around the world.

The deeper we dive into the details of the PIR systems synthesis, the more we discover, the further we perceive and the more challenges we face. The new leap in technology that we have been preparing for many years accumulating knowledge and expertise in creating PIR systems, will allow us to revolutionize the global insulation market.

I feel confident that our second PIR system will set a new global standard of quality. As a pioneer and industry leader, we believe in ourselves, in our capabilities and in the high potential of our science.

CEO of PH Insulation

Such a high level of foam performance can only be achieved with the unique properties of the intermediate product, complex polyesters, produced on the advanced synthesis unit by H&S Anlagentechnik.

Eduard Yarulin,
Director of Production at PH Insulation

Laboratory tests of the new PIR system are scheduled for August 2022.
