As known, the most energy-efficient insulators, used in the construction and refrigeration fields, today are polyurethane foam PUR and fire-proof polyisocyanurate PIR. The heat conduction coefficient of these materials is 0,02 W/m*K.
At the conference "Production and consumption of ozone-friendly freons and their substitutes in Russia. Problems, solutions, perspectives", with the participation of the President of the Russian Chemists Union, of the leading chemistry sphere scientists, academics, doctors of science, - an interesting discussion was held, the main subject of which were the changes due to Russia’s joining the Montreal and Kyoto protocols.
The representative of ProfHolod company – manufacturer of sandwich panels with polyurethane foam (PUR, PIR) heat insulation – communicated that the company was closely monitoring the processes related to Russia’s joining the Montreal and Kyoto protocols.
Concerning the Kyoto protocol, the ProfHolod’s representative expressed the opinion that in Russian Federation at present, there are too weak energy-efficiency requirements for buildings, which favor the usage of obsolete heat insulating materials. The toughening of energy-efficiency requirements for buildings in Russian Federation is one of the main activity directions of the newly established National Association of polyurethane foam panel manufacturers (NAPPAN, http://www.nappan.ru)
Regarding the Montreal protocol, today ProfHolod uses the ozone-friendly Freon, and at the new plant, which is planned to open in June, the ozone-friendly pentane will be used.
ProfHolod built the new plant in the town of Shelkovo, at 20-kilometer distance from Moscow, in the walking range from the already operating plants, producing sandwich panels, refrigeration doors and shaped profiles. The installation of the most modern in Russia continuous line by PuMa (Italy) is in progress now at the plant. The line will produce structural wall and roofing sandwich panels.
