PH Insulation’s R&D Center has conducted a study of a sample of a wall sandwich panel with polyisocyanurate foam, which has been used in the building of PH Insulation’s factory in the Moscow Region since 2015.
The sample has demonstrated average thermal conductivity value of PIR at 0.0221 W/m*K.
The measured value of the thermal conductivity coefficient of the PIR insulation under study shows only slight difference compared to the value of newly produced sandwich panel proving that the performance of PIR insulation in sandwich panels shows only minimal decrease over the entire life cycle.
The wall insulated panel used for the test has been installed in the humidity zone with operating condition B in accordance with Appendix C of the regional SP 50.13330.2012. The thermal conductivity value of polyisocyanurate foam has been measured at its operational humidity in various areas of the sandwich panel under study. The measurement of thermal conductivity has been carried out according to the GOST standard method 7076-99 “Construction materials and products. Method for determining thermal conductivity and thermal resistance in a stationary thermal regime” on thermal conductivity machine ITS-1 “150”.
PH Insulation welcomes partners and customers to jointly conduct new tests of the thermal conductivity of PIR insulation in sandwich panels. PH Insulation will provide samples of the sandwich panel removed from the building to independent laboratories for similar testing.
