In April 2019, ProfHolod reached a 5,000,000 square meter milestone in producing PIR Premier sandwich panels with the Company’s customized PIR system.

The customized PIR system is created from carefully selected components of leading manufacturers in the ProfHolod’s Research and Development Center. The R&D Center is integral part of the company's production complex: the PIR system is manufactured taking into account specifications of the Italian continuous Pu.Ma line, which is installed at the ProfHolod plant in the Moscow Region.

PIR Premier sandwich panels comply with the European standard EN 14509.

"The development of our own PIR system has become one of important stages in the advancing of our company. Our customers in Russia, near and far abroad opt for our sandwich panels with polyurethane foam, which are made here in Russia from the best foreign components and using European equipment," said David Alaverdyan, Sales Director at ProfHolod.

"In cooperation with BASF, Dow and Evonik corporations, we have delivered our own PIR system in less than a year. Today we focus our efforts on the components selection to achieve best results in the course of tests, and therefore at the construction sites. At the end of this year, we plan to launch a plant for the synthesis of complex polyesters: in the future, we will be able to guarantee the quality not only by checking the components and adjusting the technological regime, but also at the molecular level," said Ilya Evdokimov, head of the company's R&D Center.

ProfHold's PIR Premier sandwich panels show resistance of more than 185 kPa under the test of compressive strength at 10% strain and more than 160 kPa to rupture at 40 kg/m3 density in accordance with the European standard EN14509.

The jubilee 5-millionth meter of sandwich panel was produced for a construction company based in Gomel, Belarus. ProfHolod sent a gift to Gomel: a box of cognac as a bonus to the order.

ProfHolod opened its own research center in 2016. The center pursued creation of a new customized system for the continuous line of sandwich panels manufacturing.
