On 2-9 May ProfHolod representatives took part in two largest international exhibitions: IFFA trade fair for the meat industry in Frankfurt, Germany, and Seafood Expo Global & Seafood Processing Global Exhibition in Brussels, Belgium.
At the exhibitions, ProfHolod representatives and their foreign partners discussed new options for cooperation in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, details of using PIR Premier sandwich panels and solar panels in construction and insulation for meat and fish industry facilities, new methods of energy conservation.
Negotiations were held also with Russian and Belarusian companies that participated in exhibitions, and prospective partners from other countries.
Much attention at the exhibition in Germany was paid to modern solutions for design of buildings, including the use of BIM-models, robotiс application, replacement of manual labor with automated processes that guarantee product safety. Packaging industry-wise, there were discussed solutions based on energy saving of equipment, environmentally friendly materials, which production and use do not affect climate change.
According to Euromonitor International research agency, the meat processing industry is on rise: meat production throughout the world is expected to grow by 5% annually until 2027.
At the exhibition in Belgium, it was noted that the growth of world seafood trade in 2012-2017 by 4% per year is mainly due to increase in the production cost, rather than the volume of trade. According to the Dutch bank Robobank, in 2013 the average price of salmon in Norway was USD 4.60 per kilogram, and in 2018 it rose to USD 6.91. At the same time, all salmon producers, especially Norway, increased exports to all consumption regions. At present, the industry is also optimistic about further growth.
