On the 20th of April, Russian Channel One aired a TV show 'Ideal Repair' with design and repair specialists renovating the Moscow apartment of Olga Mashnaya, legendary Sofia from the famous Russian movie ‘Midshipmen, Go!’
The designers’ idea was to extend the living-room area to the cold winter balcony of the apartment. To achieve this the balcony was first to be made cold-proof. Aiming at thorough thermal insulation the TV crew used ProfHolod’s 50 mm thick PIR Plate enclosed in glass-fibre mat. The insulator was mounted on the floor, walls and ceiling of the balcony. The total insulated area is more than 20 sq. meter, and it took one day to mount the board with glue and special anchors.
The TV show anchor Natalia Barbie, who was watching the repair, appreciated the lightness and constructability of the insulator, as well as it thermal conductivity, durability and ease of installation.
